Ardagh Suites was originally an 18th century home with coach house and out buildings that has been tastefully converted to a very high standard whilst still maintaining its charming appeal. It now consists of 5 separate holiday units - The Coach House sleeping 7, The Cottage sleeping 5, The One Bed Apartment sleeping 2 as does The Studio and The Ground Floor Apartment. These can be booked in any combination to facilitate large parties. It is situated on a working farm 1 mile from the village of Riverstown, County Sligo. The village of Riverstown is 3 miles off the N4 and 14 miles from Sligo town and is the home to Sligo Folk Park, a children's playground, a basketball court, a hairdressers, photographers studio, hardware store, grocery shop, butchers shop, a pharmacy, several pubs, takeaways and a restaurant during the summer season.
Local restaurants renowned for there fine dining are Cromleach Lodge, McDermotts Pub and Clevery Mill. Cromleach Lodge Hotel and Spa has previously won Wedding Venue of the Year Award and we are ideally located to accommodate wedding guests and larger groups attending the hotel. We are centrally placed to access all the local attractions in the area. Lough Key Forest Park with Zip Lining, Boda Borg and extensive forest walks are 15 minutes by car as is Sligo's scenic Atlantic coast - famous for the outstanding surfing beaches of Strandhill, Easky and Mullaghmore. Surf lessons are available in Strandhill. The beautiful beach of Rosses Point is also a popular choice for family and friends to picnic.
Eagles Flying in Ballymote is one of Sligos favourite attractions and is great for all age groups, other popular activities nearby include clay pigeon shooting, horse riding, hill walking, fishing at the well stocked trout lakes of Lough Arrow and Lough Bo, you can hire boats or borrow our kayaks and take to the river Unshin which meanders past our door. You could also visit our local heritage sites of Carrowkeel and Carrowmore or for the more energetic maybe a climb up Benbulben or Knocknarea to Queen Maeve's tomb and afterwards enjoy the music and 'craic' in one of the local hostelries. The garden area, patio with BBQ, picnic benches, games facilities and kayaks are available to all our clients.
